Sylvia Burgess and her brother Hal inherit a gold mine in the frozen north, accompanied by their guide Weedon Scott. They face a pack of wolves led by the half-wolf, half-dog White Fang, and Hal ultimately takes his own life. White Fang later protects Scott and, recalling his human heritage, shows compassion. At the mine, Scott pretends to be Hal to safeguard Sylvia, but is accused of murder by saloon owner Beauty Smith, who seeks to take over the mine. With the help of White Fang and friend Slats, Scott must clear his name and protect Sylvia's interests.
