In the summer of 1945, eight children liberated from the Gross-Rosen camp find temporary refuge in an abandoned palace surrounded by forests. Hanka, a former inmate, becomes their guardian, helping them slowly rediscover their childhood despite the trauma they've endured. However, their fragile sense of normalcy is short-lived, as feral Alsatian dogs, released by the SS and now starving, begin to roam the surrounding forests, threatening the children's safety and triggering their camp survival instincts.
