In the desert outside Cactus Gulch, Arizona, a couple's life is disrupted when the husband's half-brother, a violent fugitive, escapes from jail and kidnaps his wife, taking their winnings from a Publisher's Clearing Hut contest. The husband, a struggling entrepreneur, teams up with his ex-girlfriend, a TV reporter, to track down the kidnapper and rescue his wife.
