Ancient Roman architect Lucius designs the original "thermae" bathhouse, earning fame. He's tasked with building a thermae in the Colosseum to aid wounded gladiators, but faces challenges. After a time slip, Lucius finds himself in modern-day Japan, where he reunites with Manami, a reporter covering bathroom-related topics. With the help of the flat-faced Japanese tribe, Lucius designs a new thermae. Meanwhile, Emperor Hadrian seeks peace, but the Senate pushes for expansion through force, leading to a confrontation and Rome's division.
