In rural Ireland, 1920, identical twins Rachel and Edward inhabit a crumbling estate, ruled by a malevolent presence. The Lodgers enforce three strict rules: the twins must be in bed by midnight, no outsiders can enter, and if one tries to escape, the other's life is at risk.
