A 15-year-old girl, Irene, is living in a juvenile offenders' center after becoming pregnant. She seeks guidance from Javier, an educator at the center, and he offers her a chance to live with him and his wife Adela in a remote mountain home. In exchange, Irene agrees to give them the baby when it's born.
