Summer Stock background

Summer Stock

A struggling small-town farmer's life is disrupted when a group of traveling performers, invited by her irresponsible sister, take over her property.

A New England farmer, Jane Falbury, agrees to let a group of actors use her barn as a makeshift theater in exchange for help with her farm work. As the actors rehearse, Jane develops feelings for the show's director, Joe Ross, who is already engaged to the lead actress and her sister, Abigail.
