Sex Madness background

Sex Madness

The next movie is a social guidance film that uses a quasi-documentary style to educate young adults about moral and social norms surrounding sexuality and drug use.

Philanthropist Paul Lorenz is a prominent figure in the fight against sexually transmitted diseases, such as syphilis and gonorrhea. He is dismayed by the promiscuity of his son Tom, who is planning to attend an after-show group-sex party with showgirls, including Sheila Wayne, who has syphilis. Meanwhile, showgirl Millicent Hamilton, who also has syphilis, is torn between seeking a quick cure and following Dr. Hampton's advice to undergo slow and intensive therapy to fully recover and marry her beau, Wendel Hope.
