Karthi's character, Kamalakannan, returns to Chennai to protect his family's ancestral property in Karaikudi from being destroyed for an overbridge construction. He meets Santhanam's character, Rajini, and together they embark on an exciting adventure. Along the way, Kamal meets Pranitha's character, Sridevi, who becomes his love interest. However, his plans are threatened when he discovers that corrupt Chief Minister Boopathi, played by Prakash Raj, is determined to stop him.
