Robinson Crusoe background

Robinson Crusoe

A lone survivor finds himself stranded on a deserted island after a devastating shipwreck, forcing him to rely on his wits and resourcefulness to survive.

British aristocrat Robinson Crusoe survives a shipwreck on a deserted South American island in 1659. He forms a bond with a dog, Rex, and cat, Sam, and learns to survive by farming, harvesting, and cooking. After Rex's death, loneliness sets in, and Crusoe must confront cannibals and his own fears. He befriends a savage, Friday, after saving his life from being eaten, and later helps Captain Oberzo recover his ship after a mutiny.
