Nayak: The Hero

A Bengali film star embarks on a journey to Delhi to accept an award, reflecting on his life's accomplishments and reevaluating his priorities through conversations with fellow travelers, vivid dreams, and nostalgic memories from his past.

Uttam Kumar, a famous actor, boards a train to collect an award and is interviewed by journalist Sharmila Tagore, who initially hesitates but eventually opens up about his past, fears, and secrets. Meanwhile, various subplots unfold, exposing the flaws and hypocrisies of society. As Arindam grapples with guilt, Aditi persuades him not to take his own life, and the next morning, she destroys her notes to protect his privacy.
