In the Siberian mountains, 16-year-old Sergei, son of the head of the Batagi clan, takes on the role of herdsman for the largest herd. He joins the Evenk tribe on their annual summer cattle drive, where the reindeer are the tribe's sole source of income and pride. However, their journey is threatened by their arch-nemesis, the Wolf, and they will do everything in their power to protect their precious reindeer.
