Her sister, Candy, is a trans woman living with AIDS. Mona works at a retirement home for people with disabilities, where she cares for David, a young man with cerebral palsy who uses a wheelchair. David dreams of having a normal job and is working on music, aiming to send a song to the famous Swedish band The Cardigans.
