Let's Make Up background

Let's Make Up

A young woman torn between two romantic options, she finds herself lost in daydreams of each suitor, weighing her heart's desires as she makes a crucial choice about her future.

A young entertainer, Carole Beaumont, is courted by actor and producer Charles King, but she hesitates due to uncertainty about her feelings. After a bomb explosion during an air raid, Carole experiences vivid fantasies, including a romantic connection with Charles, who resembles King Charles. She recovers and is advised to take a break in the countryside, where she meets another suitor, Albert Gutman, and becomes smitten with him. As she spends time with Albert, she daydreams about being Queen Victoria and marrying Prince Albert. Meanwhile, Charles arrives to propose, but Carole rejects him, stating she won't marry an actor due to her complicated past with her mother, a former star who was abandoned by her husband, John Beaumont, a war hero.
