In the film, a condemned witch's last curse is unleashed as she's about to be executed by the Grand Inquisitor and Lady de Winter. The curse is meant for those responsible for her torment. The accusers, Lord and Lady de Winter, become haunted by the curse and set out to track down the witch's daughters, Kathleen and Margaret, who were raised in a convent. However, it's revealed that only one of the daughters is the true heir to the curse, granting her the power of revenge.
