A young barn owl named Soren is taken by the owls of St. Aggie's, supposedly an orphanage, where they indoctrinate owlets into becoming warriors. Soren and his new allies flee to Ga'Hoole, where they join forces with noble and wise owls who resist the army being created by St. Aggie's ruthless leaders.
