The movie follows the story of John Clay, a young man who seeks to bring justice to Alexander Stiles, a ruthless profiteer who has stolen land and water from ranchers in the Pecos River country. John, the son of a murdered rancher, uses his knowledge of law and his skills with a gun to challenge Stiles and his outlaws. Along the way, he meets a group of impoverished cattlemen who join him in his quest to expose Stiles' wrongdoings and reclaim their rightful land.
