Eun-joo leaves a Christmas card for the new owner of her childhood home, "Il Mare", asking him to forward her mail to her new city address. Sung-hyun, the new owner, finds the card and is confused, as it's 1997 and not 1999. He writes back to Eun-joo, correcting her, but they soon discover they can communicate through letters, bridging the two-year time gap between them.
