Bobby, a young man from Denver, is torn between his desire to settle down with his girlfriend and his inability to cope with her past trauma. Despite his initial reluctance, he returns to her apartment, apologizes, and expresses his willingness to marry her despite her rape. However, she rejects his offer, and Bobby is left to confront his own emotional baggage as he travels back home using public transportation.
