Amy, a 30-something woman, returns to her childhood home in Westport, Connecticut after her husband's affair and subsequent divorce. She's struggling to cope with the end of her marriage and feels lost, with no job experience and a lack of direction. Her parents, Ruth and Stan, welcome her back, but Amy senses their mixed feelings about her return. She begins a clandestine relationship with Jeremy, a 19-year-old actor, despite their age difference and the potential complications with his stepfather, who is a potential client of Stan's.
