In this thought-provoking film, Hamm, his parents Nagg and Nell, and Clov, a restless individual, inhabit a bleak, isolated environment. While Nagg and Nell are confined to dustbins, Hamm is wheelchair-bound, and Clov is unable to stop moving. Despite his desire to leave after Nagg and Nell's eventual demise, Clov finds himself trapped with no clear destination to escape to.
