Delinquent Parents background

Delinquent Parents

A tightly guarded secret threatens to upend a woman's life, as she struggles to maintain a facade of perfection while hiding her past mistakes from those closest to her.

Edythe Ellis, a small-town girl, marries Charles Wharton, the mayor's son, just before he deploys to World War One. Charles is reluctant to reveal their marriage, fearing his parents' disapproval. After a car accident, Edythe gives birth to a daughter, Carol, who is sent to an orphanage. Carol is adopted by the Caldwells, who raise her as their own. As Carol turns 18, she meets her cousin Betty, a modern young woman who introduces her to her boyfriend Bruce. However, their romance is complicated when a juvenile court, presided over by Edythe, becomes involved.
