A comedy about a screenwriter who becomes a commercial star as "The Crotch Fresh" guy, but then struggles to catch another break. He fakes his own death to revive his acting career, but first becomes a celebrity after appearing on "Wheel of Fortune" and gets sued by the Merv Griffin Corp. The film follows his journey as he navigates the ups and downs of fame, eventually returning to his hometown of Milwaukee where he recounts his LA experiences to a boarder at his mother's house.
