The US Army decides to modernize its cavalry by converting a horse unit to motorcycles, led by Colonel James E. Devers. However, the men struggle as riders, especially Grady Westfall, who's arrested and faces a long jail term. To avoid this, he enlists as a corporal and becomes a driving instructor.
