A former seminarian, Inspector Morell, apprehends a psychotic religious killer named Whitman, who is later sentenced to death. However, Whitman is rescued by a secret government group that intends to transform him into an assassin. After escaping, Whitman seeks revenge against those who thwarted his original mission, including the jury, judge, and district attorney, who is also Morell's ex-wife.
