Monica Rivers, a determined ringmaster, will do whatever it takes to attract bigger crowds to her traveling circus. When a series of gruesome murders occurs, killing some of her performers, her profits skyrocket. She hires Frank Hawkins, a high-wire walker, and they begin an affair, which sparks jealousy in her previous lover Durando. After Durando's death, the performers are in an uproar as a mysterious killer is on the loose. Many suspect Monica, especially Matilda, who has her sights set on Monica's new lover. As the bodies pile up, Monica's unruly 16-year-old daughter Angela is forced to join the circus, becoming the partner of Gustavo the knife-thrower.
