Berlin Drifters background

Berlin Drifters

A lonely Japanese man takes in a lost traveler, Ryota, who is searching for a long-term relationship with a man he met online. However, his online crush rejects him, and Ryota finds himself wandering the streets of Berlin, unsure of what to do next.

In Berlin, a lonely Japanese man named Kôichi lives without a job or close friends. One night, he meets Ryota at a bar and sex club, where Ryota had been let down by a German man he met on a dating app. Ryota spends the night in the dark room, and Kôichi offers him a place to stay. They have sex, and Ryota frequently returns to Kôichi's apartment for casual encounters with local men. Kôichi becomes increasingly entangled in a complex emotional state, torn between feelings of frustration, curiosity, and something else, ultimately surrendering to his desires with Ryota.
