Awkward Hands background

Awkward Hands

In this martial arts film, a young man named Peter is brutally mistreated and abandoned by his love interest, only to be taken in by a Chinese master who trains him in the art of revenge against those who wronged him.

A passionate love story unfolds as a naive ranch-hand, Peter, falls for Dorothy Warren, the daughter of the ranch's owner. When Mr. Warren discovers their romance, he brutally disciplines Peter and banishes him from the ranch. Dorothy, determined to be with Peter, follows him, but they're soon caught by Warren's henchmen and forced back to the ranch. Peter faces another brutal whipping, and Dorothy agrees to marry Johnny, a local rancher, to spare Peter further punishment. Peter spends a year away, honing his skills with a gun, before returning to find Dorothy has not married Johnny, but instead works in a brothel. Peter's love for Dorothy never fades, and he sets out to win her back, confronting Warren and Johnny in a desperate bid to reclaim his love.
