Gentleman gambler Tim Madigan exposes a card sharp, but is later shot and accused of murder. As the investigation unfolds, Tim takes refuge at a ranch, befriending the owner's daughter and unknowingly the son of the family. Meanwhile, a saloon owner and gambler plot to steal the ranch using a forged document, and Tim must win a high-stakes poker game to save the property.
