In 1958, renowned photographer Art Kane orchestrated a historic group portrait of New York City's top jazz musicians for Esquire magazine. The iconic shoot took place in front of a brownstone near the 125th street station, with nearly every prominent jazz musician of the time in attendance. The documentary features interviews with many of the musicians, as well as archival footage shot by Milt Hinton and his wife on the day of the photo shoot.
