5 Branded Women background

5 Branded Women

In this gripping film, five women who collaborated with the German occupation are shunned and ostracized by the Yugoslav resistance, leading them to take matters into their own hands and join the fight for survival.

In a small village, five women are accused of consorting with Nazi soldiers and are forced to have their hair cut as punishment. Despite the harsh treatment, four of the women admit to their guilt, while one remains silent. Meanwhile, the Nazi sergeant who had been leading the women astray is caught by partisans and humiliated. The women are eventually escorted out of town by the Nazis, but they soon join forces with a group of fierce mountain guerrillas, forming a strong bond with them both romantically and militarily.
