Childhood best friends Maggie and Emma, who have shared countless adventures growing up in Pinebrook, CT, are in for their biggest adventure yet: raising a baby. When Maggie's husband has an online affair, Emma gives up her business career in China to help Maggie raise her child. As Maggie prepares for the birth of her first child and the end of her marriage, Emma must confront her past, including her first love and her complicated relationship with her mother and the small town she never felt comfortable in. Despite their differences, the women support each other as they face the challenges of their past, present, and future.
