A logging work team navigates the challenges of their trade in post-American Civil War Seattle, Washington Territory, while a group of eligible single women arrive to find love and companionship among the rugged men.
The Bolt brothers bring 100 women from Massachusetts to Seattle to prevent losing their logging crew, using borrowed funds from sawmill owner Stempel. If any of the women leave or the crew fails to meet Stempel's timber quotas, the Bolts will lose their mountain.
