China Beach background

China Beach

The lives of a dedicated nurse and her close-knit circle of friends and medical professionals in a war-torn field hospital are put to the test as they navigate the challenges of the Vietnam War.

In November 1967, a U.S. Army base, bar, and hospital on China Beach, near Danang, Vietnam, served as a hub for wounded soldiers and Army Nurse Colleen Mc Murphy, a lovely and damaged individual. The base was filled with heroes, including nurses, warriors, entertainers, and others, who struggled to make sense of life and death amidst the chaos of war.
