Teresa Suárez, known as "Gaviota" (Spanish for "Gull"), works alongside her mother Carmenza Suárez as harvesters in Colombia. They travel from farm to farm throughout the year, searching for employment opportunities. One day, Teresa meets Sebastián Vallejo, who is the grandson of the farmland owner they work with. Despite their love and plans to be together against family opposition, fate separates them temporarily. Their journey to reconnect involves overcoming numerous challenges.
