Guts, also known as "The Black Swordsman," is pursued by demons who are drawn to him due to a demonic mark on his neck. His primary goal is to free himself and his lover Casca from an unbreakable curse. On a deeper level, his other life's mission is to seek revenge against his former best friend Griffith, who played a crucial role in trapping Guts and the mercenary group with demonic powers for their own benefit.
