Harry Perkins, a steel worker and trade unionist from Sheffield, becomes the UK's Prime Minister through an overwhelming majority, partly due to corruption and public disillusionment with the Conservative Party and financial institutions. As Prime Minister, Harry is driven by a desire to compensate for the corporate manslaughter of his grandfather, who was killed at work. He forms a wider agenda for reinvesting in health and education, as well as public ownership of utilities.
