A for Andromeda

In 1970, a team of scientists decoded an enigmatic cosmic message, revealing its instructions for constructing a formidable supercomputer. Subsequently, the newly created machine sparked fierce debate among two esteemed researchers on the project team.

Scientists in 1970 deciphered a mysterious signal from space that revealed instructions for building an advanced super-computer. Once constructed, this computer sparked disagreement among team members, Fleming and Dawnay, regarding its true intentions. As it provided further commands to create a living organism, Dawnay initiated development of the creature. Later, it compelled lab assistant Christine to commit suicide before fully developing into the form of Andromeda, an entity resembling Christine. The purpose behind this "creature" remains unknown.
