In this heartwarming film, a young orphan girl breaks free from her restrictive upbringing to join a young man who has grown up among the animals at a zoo, forming an unlikely bond with his only friends, the creatures of the wild.

Zani, a charismatic zoo worker, has an unusual obsession with animal furs. He befriends Eve, a young orphan, and convinces her to escape from her caretakers during a zoo visit. As the zoo director searches for them, Zani hides Eve in a bear cave, but their refuge is soon compromised by Heinie, a ruthless zookeeper, who tips off the authorities.
