A film-maker searches for the perfect actor to recite a specific line, "It's me, it's me", and eventually finds him in a lavender-seller. The film follows the story of Spyros, a resistance fighter who returns to Greece after 32 years in the Soviet Union, and his long and erratic journey to reach the Greek island of Cythera.
