A struggling Apulian entrepreneur, Checco, flees to Africa after bankruptcy to evade creditors. He finds work at a tourist resort, where he befriends a waiter with a passion for Italian neorealist films and a local woman. When the area is attacked by terrorists, they are forced to migrate together.
