In 1938 London, on the Chinese New Year, a legend states that if three strangers gather before an idol of Kwan Yin, the Chinese goddess of fortune and destiny, and make a common wish, she will grant it. Crystal Shackleford tests the legend by recruiting two strangers to make a wish together: to win a shared sweepstakes ticket.
