The story follows a group of people who gather at a Paris train station to attend the funeral of a charismatic artist and teacher, Jean-Baptiste, who has asked to be buried in Limoges. As they travel to Limoges, the passengers, including lovers, friends, acquaintances, and relatives, are initially impatient and irritated. However, as the day progresses, time stands still, and they begin to open up, share stories, and form connections, leading to a journey of self-discovery and illumination.
