A former policeman, Remo Guerra, leads a double life, moonlighting with a group of thugs to rob wealthy individuals in Rome. After being dismissed from the force due to his disregard for discipline, he devotes himself to a life of crime. A three-year stint in jail follows, after which he buys a bar and attempts to reform. However, his accumulated debts and innate aggression towards society eventually propel him back into a life of muggings and heists.
