In the 1951 film, Andy Schmidt is a college student who prioritizes having a good time and cracking jokes. Despite being in a relationship with someone else, he wins over fellow student Mary's heart. However, finding a job after graduation proves challenging, and Andy struggles to impress directors with his unconventional acting approach. He then turns to wrestling, but to avoid getting hurt, he stages the fights, inadvertently creating the concept of show-wrestling.
