In the movie, Sergeant Major Zak Carey is nearing the end of his military service and is stationed at a base in Georgia. He's dissatisfied with the base's conditions and decides to venture off to get a drink. At a local bar, he's approached by a prostitute, but politely declines her advances. When the prostitute's pimp, a deputy, beats her, Zak intervenes, only to learn that the Sheriff is corrupt and tries to frame him for the incident. Despite the Army's support, Zak's family is targeted, with his son being falsely accused of drug use and imprisoned. Faced with no other option, Zak commandeers his vintage Sherman Tank to rescue his son and together they attempt to expose the Sheriff's corruption before crossing the state line.
