In 1953, archaeologist Varun Shrivastav arrives in West Bengal's Manikpur village to excavate the Zamindar's temple grounds. He impresses the family, especially the feisty Pakhi, who falls for him. However, Varun's past and his choice between Pakhi and his past lead to his disappearance.
