During World War II, a group of polo-playing soldiers and their families are unexpectedly caught off guard by the Japanese attack on the Philippine islands in 1941. Led by Lt. Bailey, they make their way back to Manila, only to find the city overwhelmed with refugees. Along the journey, Lt.
