A wealthy Indian man, K, is addicted to chain-smoking despite his wife's disapproval. When his friend quits, K is convinced to seek treatment at a center, but he initially refuses. After his wife leaves him, K undergoes treatment and is discharged with a warning that his family will suffer if he smokes again. Despite this, K secretly relocates to continue his habit, leading to unforeseen consequences.
