The legendary Monkey King, once a free spirit between Heaven and Earth, was imprisoned for 500 years after offending the gods. A child's arrival in the mountains inadvertently frees the Monkey King from his icy tomb. The child's innocence and encouragement inspire the Monkey King to save a village from malevolent monsters.
